Hari & Sukhmani

Hari Singh is a versatile producer, vocalist & audio engineer with a background in mathematics. His experience ranges from studio work to live sound environments, covering everything from creating ringtones to mixing bands.

Sukhmani Malik, a singer and a born performer, holds a Masters degree in Hindustani classical vocal. She has captivated audiences with her distinctive voice and boasts international experience in theatre as a singer-dancer.

Hari & Sukhmani have been working together since December 2008. The Urban folk duo seamlessly blend their cultural roots with a diverse array of sounds, offering an iconic take on traditional Punjabi folk enriched with their multi-genre style of music.

Being true performers, they have been spreading their magic at Indian weddings and private parties for 15 years. They have enthralled audiences across the world, be it the Ambanis or the most awaited weddings of Katrina Kaif & Vicky Kaushal or Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra, just to name a few.

Hari & Sukhmani have also been seen on the widely successful Netflix series, The Big Day. Their frequent appearances on TV shows and radio broadcasts, including BBC Radio UK, Star World’s The Dewarists, Coke Studio @ MTV, Fox Traveller’s Sound Trek, Tehelka Music Project, and Zee International’s Supermoon Live to Home, have garnered them widespread popularity among diverse audiences. Today, they have become an integral part of India’s indie music community.

Their journey in film started with Deepa Mehta, with Videsh – Heaven on Earth, during the early stages of their career. Recently, they have also lent their talent to the documentary I Am Sirat, directed by Deepa Mehta and Sirat Taneja, which has showcased extensively in film festivals in 2023.

Their collaborations with artists such as Noori (Coke Studio, Pakistan), Arshad Khan (Israj, India), Thu Le (Classical guitarist, Vietnam), Trilok Gurtu (Maestro percussionist), Fakhruddin Ghaffari (Percussionist, Iran), The Coconut Kids (Australia), Earthstage (Jazz Band, Goa), and Tech Panda & Kenzani (New Delhi), Dhruv Sangari (New Delhi) have transcended genres and borders, giving their music a global appeal.
